About Us
Washington Avenue Realty was founded in 2008 by Ed Kelly. Washington Avenue Realty is focused on providing premium commerical office space to clients in Charles County, currently concentrating in La Plata.
Additionally, Washington Avenue Realty offers residential property for sale and/or lease. Some of these properties are new construction, like the townhomes in La Plata, Centennial Commons. Additional properties are also managed.
Mr. Kelly has over 40 years experience in commercial and residential real estate.
Mr. Kelly served as President and Chief Operating Officer for the American Community Properties Trust (APO, AMEX) a publically traded real estate company based in the Washington, D.C. area.
Ed received his B.B.A. in Accounting from St. John’s University, New York, He obtained a CPA license in Washington, D.C. Ed served for three years as an Artillery Officer with the United States Marine Corps, including combat duty in the Republic of South Vietnam.
Mr. Kelly is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and the National Association of Home Builders. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of a national bank located in Southern Maryland.
